Mittagessen bei den Großeltern
If there is something that has not changed for as long as I can remember, it is lunch at my grandparents’. Every other weekend, I come visit one of the two elderly couples, have lunch with them and enjoy afternoon-long talks. In 2018, I started taking my camera with me on these visits – first only occasionally, then on a regular basis. This habit has since evolved into a photography project, documenting the everyday life of my grandparents – how they live with and alongside each other – and their grandparental peculiarities. While the project is still ongoing, in 2020, I have gathered the photographs taken so far together with characteristic quotes and recipes into a preliminary photo book.
